NMBI Registration Renewals

How to Renew Your NMBI Registration

The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) requires all practicing nurses and midwives in Ireland to renew their registration annually. This process is done through the online portal, MyNMBI, and involves a fee payment. It’s important to note that student nurses and midwives, as well as those who registered for the first time on or after 1 September 2023, are not required to renew until the 2025 cycle. For any difficulties during the renewal process, NMBI provides customer support via phone and email.

Annual Renewal Steps

  • You’ll receive an email with renewal instructions. If not received by October 31st, check spam/junk folders or contact customer care at 0818 200 116 (or +353 818 200 116 from outside Ireland). Nurses and midwives can also reach out for further support via email at regservices@nmbi.ie.
