CORU Registration Renewal

CORU is Ireland’s multi-profession health regulator. Its role is to protect the public by promoting high standards of professional conduct, education, training, and competence through statutory registration of health and social care professionals. All professionals who wish to continue practicing in their field are required to renew their registration annually. This involves paying an annual renewal fee and completing the renewal process through CORU’s online system. Failure to renew may result in removal from the register. The professions regulated by CORU include, but are not limited to, dietitians, dispensing opticians, medical scientists, occupational therapists, optometrists, physiotherapists, radiographers, social workers, and speech and language therapists. If you should require more detailed information, you can refer to the Registration Renewals and Registration Renewals FAQs provided by CORU. If you require assistance, you can contact CORU directly.

Follow These Steps:

  • You should receive a renewal notice via email with instructions on the renewal process. If you haven’t received the email by the end of October, check your spam or junk folders or contact the dedicated customer care line.

  • Use the email address the notice was sent to and your password. If you forgot your password, use the ‘forgotten password’ button. Do not create a new account as you won’t be able to access your details.

    • Make sure to have copies of all your documents.

    • You’ll need identification and police clearance.

  • Visit the CORU website and pay the application fees of €100.

    • At the end of the registration, download the necessary forms.

    • Fill out the forms you downloaded.

  • Ensure that your photocopied documents are certified.

  • Send all your documents in PDF format to registration@coru.ie.
